Northern Bukidnon State College Hosts Three-Day Procurement Strategic Planning
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) organized a three-day Procurement Strategic Planning workshop at Duka Bay Resort from January 15 to 17, 2025. The event gathered directors and heads of offices to discuss and streamline procurement strategies for the upcoming fiscal year.
The primary purpose of the meeting was to review essential financial documents and enhance the procurement processes to ensure efficiency and compliance for Fiscal Year 2025. Key deliverables included a thorough review of the Registry for Fiscal Year 2025, a presentation of the prospective budget, and a detailed examination of the Priorities Procurement Program plans (PPMPs).
In addition to reviewing existing procurement documents, participants discussed the Consolidated PPMP, the Annual Procurement Plan (APP), and the Petty Cash and Disbursement Voucher Checklist. A significant focus was also placed on the Procurement and Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Process Flow, encouraging an open forum for addressing issues and concerns related to procurement operations.
The strategic planning session aimed to achieve several key objectives: consolidating the PPMP to facilitate the approval of the APP by the third week of January 2025, improving the process flow of procurement operations, enhancing procurement forms and templates, and boosting budget utilization by the second quarter of 2025.
In her message, Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, of the Research Development and Innovation Division and one of the BAC Members, expressed her gratitude to all the event participants and the Procurement team for the initiative.
With a clear focus on refining procurement strategies, NBSC aims to foster better resource management and improve overall operational effectiveness in the coming year.
